Julian Dicks quits Grays Athletic

GRAYS ATHLETIC boss Julian Dicks has left the club by mutual consent.

The announcement was made by chairman Keith Burns this evening.

Dicks, 42, had been manager for two seasons. They were relegated from the Blue Square Premier in the first and finished tenth in the Ryman Div One North last season.

Speaking to YourThurrock after the meeting, Mr Burns said: “We thank Julian for all that he has done over the last two seasons.

“This has not been an easy time to manage a club such as Grays but Julian did it with the utmost professionalism and for that we are most grateful.

“Julian has ambitions and so do we. We both move on.

YT asked Mr Burns as to the position of Dicks assistant Kenny Brown. Mr Burns said: “We will be talking to Kenny tomorrow and will take it from there.”

Mr Burns would not be drawn on the replacement for Julian Dicks but did confirm that they had a number of managers in mind.
