ESSEX Police is currently undergoing a major change programme in order to save money whilst continuing to provide a first class service to the public.
Essex Police has already begun to make positive changes and will become one of the first forces to switch to the national police non-emergency telephone number.
From July you will be able to contact Essex Police with a non-emergency by calling 101. Other forces will also be joining this service throughout the year.
During June and early July, Essex Police and Essex Police Authority will be asking your opinions, listening to your views and seeking to understand the impact that any changes to Essex Police may have.
Your views are extremely important to Essex Police and Essex Police Authority. We would be grateful if you could take time to complete a survey. Your answers will help to shape the future of policing in Essex.
You can access the survey at http://www.essex.police.uk/survey
Alternatively you can speak to us at one of the ‘Have Your Say’ events listed below.

Where is the Grays Event??? or do Essex Police not think that they would gain anything from holding one in our town??
I love the quote ” continuing to provide a first class service to the public” since when have they started to provide a first class service? having had to deal with Essex Police on a few occasions, as a victim of crime, I have certainly not seen any fisrt class service, indeed I have now been left with very little faith in Essex Police to actually do the job that they we pay them to do.
If you want something doing in Essex probably best to do it yourself or just not bother reporting it…..
I’ve just spoken to Essex Police and, they have confirmed that there is no event scheduled for Thurrock to which I have emailed the district commander.
well I think the fact that there is no event for Thurrrock says it all doesnt it?they dont provide a good service to us,obviously they dont want any of us turning up to tell them!
