THERE ARE times when you know when your friends are. Earlier this year, former councillor and businessman, Stephen Andrews was struck down by a stroke.
Since then his family have gathered around him to care for him. It is a struggle and there are many battles ahead including getting a wet room in his place of residence. It is also about now that the extent of the cuts in adult social care are striking home as Stephen finds out if he meets certain critical criteria or not.
A fundraising day took place at the TOPS club in Grays recently.
YT spoke to his sister Marie Andrews about Stephen’s plight and the fundraising work.
