National Express train operator c2c has once again topped the rail industry punctuality charts, meaning that for 6 of the last 7 months c2c has hit the number 1 spot amongst franchised rail operators in the UK.
Official rail industry figures just released confirm that 97.1% of c2c’s trains ran to time in August placing c2c at the top of the national punctuality table, with another four-week period of rail industry-leading performance. These results show that c2c are no one hit wonders, but have repeatedly topped the charts and delivered the best for their customers.
Julian Drury Managing Director of c2c said: “I’m pleased that c2c has once again topped the punctuality charts, making it 6 out of 7 months in the number 1 spot and I’d like to thank the c2c team for consistently delivering the best for our customers.”
Chart-toppers c2c hold the UK records for the highest annual punctuality by a franchised train operator at 96.7% and the record for any 4-week performance period at 98.8%.
c2c has now delivered the leading performance in the UK rail industry for the vast majority of 2011, topping the charts in August, June, May, April, March and February too.
