Ryman Div One North
Tilbury 2 v 1 Harlow Town
The Dockers bounced back from a recent poor run of form to record a fine victory against much-fancied harlow Town.
The Dockers struck after ten minutes when former Harlow player Bradley Barnes slid the ball home unmarked at the near post.
The closest Harlow came to levelling was when Piers Wixon latched onto Leon Lalite’s precise through ball, but he was denied by keeper James Marrable.
Tilbury made it 2-0 in the 48th minute when Tom Farr curled the ball from the left side of the box beyond the reach of Hawks keeper Bossu.
Dockers made life difficult for themselves when in the 71st minute, they conceded a needless penalty when Harlow’s Wixon was upended in the box. Former Grays favourite John Docker smashed home the penalty.
The Dockers held out and now find themselves just four points off the play-offs.
They return to action to play Ilford away on Saturday.
