THURROCK Council’s library services are looking for people willing to join a new kind of reading group.
The service already supports many book groups which meet regularly, but a new kind of reading group is about to start at Grays Library.
Do you enjoy reading aloud? It can be fun and offers a whole new kind of different enjoyment to the normal reading experience.
The group will be led by trained facilitator and librarian Rachel Gallehawk and within the group different viewpoints and experiences will be shared.
An extra benefit from shared reading is that it has been proven to have a positive impact on mental and social well-being as well as being fun and rewarding.
Until you try shared reading you won’t know what you’re missing.
The group will meet weekly either on a Wednesday or a Friday at Grays Library, however people are being asked to call and express an interest before times are agreed.
Take the challenge and get involved in something a little bit different this autumn and experience how shared reading could make you feel better.
If you want to know more and wish to register your interest then please contact Rachel Gallehawk on 01375 413970 or email email@example.com
