FOUR fire crews attended a fire on Saturday night in Grays.
The crews were called to Priestly Court, Palmers Drive, Grays
Firefighters were called to a two storey-sheltered accommodation block. A ground floor flat was heavily smoke logged and crews wore breathing apparatus and used one hose reel and dry powder to extinguish the fire by 6pm.
A high pressure fan was used to ventilate the property free of smoke.
An 85 year old suffered from smoke inhalation and was treated by the Ambulance Service.
