SCOUTS from a number of League One and Two clubs will be eyeing a number of free agents in a friendly match on Tuesday night.
Former Blackpool midfielder Kingsley Francis an ex-Tottenham youth prospect Daniel Day are among those players hoping to impress in a match against Thurrock FC.
There will be 15 representatives from Football League clubs in attendance, including Charlton, Wycombe, Oxford, Chesterfield,Leyton Orient, Yeovil and Dagenham reports Sky Sports.
Francis, 19, is looking for a route back into the game after the midfielder was released by Blackpool last year after two seasons at the club while 18-year-old full-back Day recently left the Tottenham Academy.
The pair trialled at SPL side St Johnstone last week alongside Ryan Marriott, who is also featuring for the Free Agent XI in Tuesday night’s friendly.
Other plays involved are Ramon Rose, Jonathan North, Marvin Hamilton, Kurtis Spencer, Babatunde Adeniyi, Michael Baloye, Aymen Tahar and Hicham Abdellah.
The game has been set up by Simon Dent’s sports management company (www.sjdentmgt.com) and he said: “It’s a great opportunity for clubs to see talent in a game environment and hopefully a number of the lads will secure trials off the back of it.”
