DUE to dangerous conditions on smaller roads and pavements on Monday (6 February) morning, waste and recycling collections were suspended for the day.
However the thaw later on Monday ― and no forecasts of further snow ― has prompted the council to announce that collections this week will be put back one day.
If the weather continues to improve, streets due to be collected on Monday will now be collected on Tuesday (7 February) and so on, with Friday’s collections being picked up on Saturday (11 February).
A full collection, grey/green, blue and brown bins is expected.
The Civic Amenity site at Linford is open as normal.
