Doyle Price praised after reports that Maney and Mckenzie “attacked” by Labour MP

THURROCK MP, Jackie Doyle-Price was praised by the authorities today for attempting to calm down a Labour MP who went allegedly beserk in a House of Commons bar.

Ex-Army major and Labour MP for Falkirk, Eric Joyce was arrested after allegedly headbutting a fellow MP.

There were also reports that Joyce allegedly attacked Little Thurrock councillor, Ben Maney and Stephen Metcalfe’s assistant and Vange councillor, Luke Mackenzie.

Ed Miliband suspended him from the Labour Party at 10am, pending an investigation.

The melee allegedly took place in the Strangers Bar at just after 10.30pm.

According to witnesses, the MP appeared to have flipped and continued to be enraged until Ms Doyle-Price interceded and calmed him down.

A Scotland Yard spokesman said: “We were called at approximately 10.50pm last night to reports of a disturbance at a bar within the House of Commons.

“A man aged in his fifties was arrested by officers on suspicion of assault. He remains in custody in a central London police station. Inquiries continue.”

  1. What I find very strange in this latest alleged assult in the House of Commons is when a Labour MP went beserk and Head Butted and punching three other MP’s he, was arrested on suspicion of assult, doesnt the word of eight MP’s matter anymore, they witnessed it, and the people he head butted and assulted felt it, so whats the problem, is it because he is a MP and so called gentleman and EX-Major major.
Still well done Jackie, perhaps you could teach assult training to the other MP’s.
