THE SCHOOL PUPIL who suffered neck injuries at Little Thurrock primary school yesterday (Wednesday) was described as being in a comfortable condition in hospital, a police spokesperson said.
Emergency services were called to the Rectory Road school yesterday afternoon. The nine-year-old boy was conveyed to the specialist neck injury unit at Royal London hospital by Essex Air Ambulance.
Speaking to YT this afternoon, a spokesperson for Essex Police said: “The pupil is in a stable condition in hospital and has suffered only minor injuries.
“At this time, it appears to be an accident.”
Essex Police remained at the scene of the accident for some time as they supported other organisations and compiled a report.
