Crews are tackling a fire involving a 12-tonne lorry carrying white goods. Firefighters report that the vehicle is well alight and have called for Police to attend for traffic control.
Initially two appliances were sent to the scene. But on arrival the officer in charge requested a third appliance because of a shortage of water.
At 17:57 hrs, the incident was ongoing.
A13 Essex – One lane blocked on A13 eastbound at Tilbury.
