IT HAS been a whirl of news and publicity for Sandra Watts since she heard she will be a torch bearer for the Olympic relay.
Sandra was nominated by the Thurrock-based South Essex Rape and Incest Crisis Centre (Sericc) and will be running a leg in Southend on July 6th.
Sandra has also found out that she is one of ten runners who will have their photograph taken as part of a special commission at the National Portrait Gallery.
YT caught up with Sandra to talk about the relay as well as give Sandra an opportunity to pay tribute to the work and support she has been given from Sericc.
