A GROUP of 13 young people celebrated their success improving themselves and helping others on Wednesday (11 April).

They worked on a community project — revamping the area behind the dance studio for JTD Performing Arts in Cromwell Road, Grays. JTD also cater for young people and adults with special needs.

The Prince’s Trust team did their own fundraising for the project and also for the team challenge at the Grangewaters Outdoor Education Centre in South Ockendon where they organised an Easter Egg hunt and barbecue for young people from the Special Needs Activity Club (SNAC) at Treetops School.

More than 25 young people attended the Grangewaters event and had a great day out.

The Prince’s Trust programme is a 12-week self-development programme that aims to get young people qualifications, positive outcomes and builds on confidence and employment skills.

Thurrock Prince’s Trust will be running the next 12 week programme starting 24 May. If you or someone you know could benefit from the course or who may be able to offer a community project call 01375 413035 or [email protected]
