POLICE have issued details of a man they want to interview in connection with two robberies in Tilbury.
The first incident happened at about 10.15pm on Tuesday March 13 when a taxi driver stopped to pick up a man at Thackeray Avenue, Tilbury. The man threatened the driver with a large knife and robbed him of £75.
In a similar incident on March 15 at about 10pm a taxi driver was booked to pick up a fare at Pageants Close, Tilbury but when he arrived he was robbed of £159 by a man armed with a knife.
Detectives now want to speak to Darren Reeves, 31, who formerly lived in Dickens Avenue, Tilbury.
Reeves is white, 6ft 2in tall, is of slim build and has blue eyes. He has closely cropped hair and numerous tattoos including the word ‘kill’ and a picture of a bulldog on his left arm and the name ‘Connor’ on his inside right upper arm.
He is known to frequent the Tilbury and South Ockendon areas but also has links to Canvey Island.
