FIFTY pupils from South Ockendon based TipToe Stage School appeared at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday.
Titled “Champions of Dance” the show was an official celebration of the forthcoming 2012 London Olympics.
The school were selected to perform alongside a number of other professional organisations – all of which were hand-picked by the shows organisers following a nationwide search. Three of TipToe’s pupils, Karen Keeley, Sarah Smallbone and Jane Chinnery are all performing in the Olympic opening ceremony.

The show was hosted by the cast of ‘Wonderful Town’ starring The Sound of Music’s Connie Fisher and Nic Greenshields.
Julie Barker, Principal, said:” It was a massive honour to be asked to perform and we hope we’ve made the borough proud! All of the pupils performed and behaved impeccably on the day and the organisers commented on the professionalism of the school and the excellent attitude of the performers”.
Rehearsals are now taking place for the school’s next show.
