On 1st April, Lansdowne Primary School became Lansdowne Academy as part of the gateway Learning Community.
Richard Epps, the Principal of the Academy said; “We are all very proud to be part of the Learning Community.
Not only are we the first Primary School in the Community, we are Thurrock’s first full Primary Academy.”
Since Richard became headteacher of the old Lansdowne Primary School in September 2010, he has been working with Mr Sadler and Mrs Reid from Herringham School to prepare the way to becoming an Academy
“Things are changing rapidly,” he said. “We have introduced the International Primary Curriculum to the Academy and are using our new freedoms to create an exciting place to learn where everybody can do well.”
