Man charged over Archers pub shooting

A MAN in his 40s has been charged in connection with an incident in South Ockendon on Monday, May 14.

David Knight, 43, of Crammavill Street, Grays, will appear before magistrates in Southend today, Saturday, May 19, charged with one count of attempting to cause GBH with intent and one count of possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.

Two others who were arrested in connection with the incident have been released without charge.

Officers continue to appeal for anyone who was in the Archers pub in Garron Lane at 10.20pm when four men entered searching for a local man aged in his 20s.
