St Mary the Virgin, Dock Road Little Thurrock
To celebrate Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee we are holding a special service of thanksgiving at St Mary the Virgin, Little Thurrock on Sunday June 3rd at 9.30am. 60 years ago ladies attending church would have worn a hat, so we’re inviting ladies to wear a hat for this service.
Following the service, people who were around in the fifties, will be sharing reminiscences. Please bring your photos and memorabilia of the Queen or of the fifties to show. For children there will be arts and crafts. Please bring a contribution for a shared lunch which will begin at 12.00noon
