ON Saturday 21 July, Lakeside will be hosting a day of free and exciting events designed to ask shoppers for views and ideas that could shape the future of Lakeside as part of a planned multi-million pound investment over the next few years.
This consultation marks the next stage of a unique conversation between the local community and Capital Shopping Centres (CSC), who own the shopping centre, with the aim of discovering what shoppers would like to see at Lakeside.
Saturday 21 July will see Lakeside host a series of activities throughout the day to inspire the imagination of shoppers and drive creative ideas that could be realised as part of a major new leisure space at the centre.
Paul Lancaster, General Manager of Lakeside Shopping Centre, said: “We’re delighted to host this fun day of free events at Lakeside and hope that lots of our shoppers get involved in telling us what they’d like to see here, by filling in our survey, taking part in our vox pops or even drawing a picture with our digital illustrators.”
Jonathan Ainsley, Director of Asset Management at CSC, said: “CSC is excited about bringing forward plans for a new leisure development at Lakeside. The feedback we get from our shoppers this weekend will be important in developing these more detailed plans, and we hope as many people as possible get involved.”
Lakeside is already more than just a great retail destination and our shoppers inform everything we do– from the brands and restaurants we offer, to the local people we support.
Visit the events and activities this weekend at two main sites; outside Debenhams and on The Boardwalk.
