SOUTH BASILDON and East Thurrock MP, Stephen Metcalfe rose on the floor of the House of Commons to debate the controversial subject of assisted deaths.
Mr Metcalfe gives a fascinating insight into the story and circumstance of close friends who may be in a situation where they may want an “assisted death”.
I truly believe that assisted suicide should be legalised in this country as long as the person is of a fit state of mind to make the decision, indeed I actually believe that this already happens within hospitals where the use of Morphine is administered in those who are almost at the end of their life and in severe pain as this makes their passing more bearable.
You would not let an animal suffer in pain up to their death so why should human life be any different??
