A KILO block of cocaine has been taken off the street by police following a stop-check in south-west Essex.
Officers had received information from a concerned resident on the evening of Friday, September 7 who had suspicions about the occupants of a black Ford Kuga driving around Aveley.
Officers stopped a car on Aveley Close and found the cocaine in the vicinity. They arrested a 40-year-old man from Hornchurch in east London and a 31-year-old man from Canning Town, also in east London, on suspicion of committing drug offences.
Both men have been released on police bail until Tuesday, October 20 pending further enquiries.
