Man, 75, arrested, biker with serious head injuries after four-vehicle pile up in Grays

POLICE arrested a 75-year-old man from Grays, on suspicion of careless driving following a four vehicle collision in Southend Road, Grays, which left a motorcyclist in hospital.

The collision happened at 9.10pm on Sunday, September 9, and involved a silver Honda CRV, a white and red Suzuki motorcycle, black London taxi, and a blue Mazda 6 which was stationary.

The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Basildon Hospital then transferred to Queens Hospital in Romford where he is being treated for a serious head injury.

The arrested man has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until October 29.
