Boy knocked down by car outside Ockendon Academy

AN ELEVEN-year-old boy was taken to hospital after being knocked down by a car near to Ockendon Academy.

The collision occurred around 2.45pm on Tuesday afternoon (Oct 9th) on Eriff Drive, South Ockendon.

Two ambulances attended at the scene.

An East of England spokesperson said: “An 11-year-old boy with injuries was taken to Basildon Hospital for further care to his ankle and the driver of the car involved, a woman of 47 years, with chest pain.”

Neither one required hospitalisation.

  1. Before the snipers choose to shoot down the car driver, I have witnessed these kids challenging passing vehicles as they just step out into the road often in front of vehicles.

Not saying this was the case today, but it might be good for the school to teach the kids of all ages a lesson on how to safely cross a road, before someone is seriously injured.

Many seem to be ignorant and arrogant to the dangers they place themselves and others in with the stupid attitude they adopt towards car dirvers.
