Thurrock 1s 6 v 1 Brentwood 2s
THE game started very well for Thurrock with a goal within the first minute for Tees striker Declan Millane. Then with some outstanding passing within the Thurrock midfield and a lovely touch from Millane to find Steven Abbott at the back post Thurrock where 2-0 up early in the game.
The first half was dominated by Thurrock with some easy chances that should have been converted by the strikers. It wasn’t long until Thurrock where 4-0 up with goals coming from Thomas Ing and Liam Birch then before the whistle went for the second half Steven Abbott smashed one home from a few yards out nearly breaking the backboard to make it 5-0 to Thurrock.
At the start of the second half, Thurrock enjoyed some early possession which seemed to rile a few of the Brentwood players but half way through the second half with another assist for Millane Steven Abbott bagged his third goal of the game with a reverse strike that he has been practising at training which saw the home side go 6-0 up but after that goal Thurrock seemed to become a bit complacent and they let Brentwood get under their skin and allow Brentwood to take away Thurrocks deserved clean sheet with a sloppy goal.
