A PLANNING APPLICATION for new homes in North Stifford has been turned down.
In what was described as a “confusing” “shoddy” and “under-cooked” application, the bid by the Four Acre Trust to build over 35 homes near to Harrington Crescent met with both severe criticism from local residents and councillors.
Chair of the North Stifford Community Group, Dennis Brockhurst spoke to the planning committee and pointed to the lack of interaction from the applicants as well as a lack of infrastructure in the bids.
Local councillor, Simon Wootton (Cons) also expressed his concerns that the schools in Chafford Hundred were already bursting at the scenes.
What made matters even more confusing, was the representative from the Trust, Ms Newman, who did not seem to be in receipt of the facts.
The application was refused.
