FROM FOBBING TO AVELEY, the borough of Thurrock paid respect to those who had given their lives in the two world wars and a number of other conflicts.
Rev Darren Barlow led the service at Grays, where a large crowd gathered at the war memorial for the service.
Led by the mayor of Thurrock, cllr Yash Gupta, political and civic leaders laid wreaths at the memorial.
