POLICE have arrested a 58-year-old man from Stanford-le-Hope in connection with two attempted accostings in Corringham.
The man was arrested in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of offences which happened on Wednesday, October 31, and Monday, November 12, in an underpass beneath The Manorway.
Yesterday a 17-year-old girl was approached by a man who made a lewd suggestion at around 6.40pm.
On October 31, a 12-year-old boy was approached by a man who again made a lewd suggestion.
Officers are continuing to pay particular attention to this area in light of both incidents.
The arrested man remains in custody.
