THURROCK Council’s fostering team will be at the Lakeside Shopping Centre from Monday, 28 January to Sunday, 3 February to chat to people about how to turn their house into a home by becoming a foster carer.
The council’s Shared Care and Befriending team will also be there on Wednesday 30, January from 10am to 4pm and Friday 1, February, 10am to 4pm. They will be there to talk to people about how they can help make a difference to child or young person’s life by becoming a carer or ‘be-friender’.
Both teams will be on the main concourse on the first floor between Marks & Spencer and WH Smith where advice about how to turn your house into a home and how to make a difference will be available.
