Football: Grays wreck Wroxham as title challenge continues

Ryman Div One North

Grays Ath 4 v 0 Wroxham

The blue juggernaut marches on as Grays Athletic demolished Norfolk outfit Wroxham, 4-0 at Rush Green Stadium.

The team seem to be scoring at will and scoring from all angles. To prove the point, full back and squad player, David East opened the scoring with a 25-yard pile driver.

Such confidence (and ability) comes from the real bond in the squad that has really really gelled and is testament to the manager, Hakan Hayrettin, who has instilled a belief in the team.

Grays Ath were 3-0 up at half time as Jack West continued his great run by scoring in the 13th minute and then Lee Flynn added another just before half time.

The second half was about containment and reserving energy for the final twelve games in six weeks.

Jack West scored again to make it four.

Over in Ware, Maldon scraped a 3-2 victory to stay eight ahead of the Blues but having played four games more.
