Chadwell women named as victim of fatal crash in Leeds

A WOMAN born and brought up in Chadwell St Mary has been named by police as the victim of a fatal road crash.

Jennifer Osborn, 35, was killed when a car crashed into a tree in Leeds at around 3.30am on Friday, March 22.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Police can now reveal the identities of those who died as Jennifer Osborn, aged 35, and Steven Todd, aged 38, of Hampshire Close, Ilkley reports the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“Enquiries into the circumstances of the incident remain ongoing.”

Jennifer was a student at Herringham primary and Torrells school. YT understands that Jennifer and her family moved to Leeds around fifteen years ago.

As reported last week, the crash happened when a Hyundai Coupe carrying three people collided with a tree. The vehicle was travelling in the direction of Otley.

The driver, a 37-year-old man, sustained cuts and internal injuries. He was taken to Leeds General Infirmary for treatment. The other two occupants were pronounced dead at the scene.

Any witnesses are asked to contact the Major Collision and Enquiry Team on the non emergency number 101.
