FIRE CREWS wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to tackle a fire in the derelict Jack Lobley School premises in Leicester Road, Tilbury.
The fire was in the single storey old school room.
The fire was out by 14:40 hrs. Crews then used a high pressure fan to clear the building of smoke.
A joint Police and Fire Service investigation will be carried out to establish the cause of the incident.
