A HOST of Thurrock athletes performed very well at the recent Essex Club Club champs held at Blackshots, the home of Thurrock Harriers.
Tom Richardson running for Basildon AC won the U-20 3000 metres in 8.58.34.
Gary Cahill came 11th in the under-17 1500 metres in 4.52.11
Charlie Splarn came sixth in the u-15 200 metres in 33.37. Charlie also won a bronze in the u-15 discus where another Thurrock Harrier, Max Hepher won a silver.
Thomas Wakeling was just out of the medals with a 13.31 in the u-15 75 metre hurdles.
Cedar Hall Osteo sponsored athlete, Alice Perkins broke the nine-minute barrier winning the 3000 metres (u-17_ in 9.58.55
Gemma Holloway grabbed a bronze in the u-17 1500 metres with a time of 4.36.53
