THE SECOND Thurrock Art Trail will start on Saturday June 1st and will feature over 80 artists across 14 events.
The annual event showcases the breadth and depth of artistic talent across Thurrock.
It encourages and celebrates the painters, sculptors, photographers, film-makers, potters, woodworkers, textile artists and many more.
This year the trail will be running from Saturday 1st June until Sunday 16th June.
The 2013 events are being held at
(1) ‘Subjects to be Destroyed’ Thurrock Arts Contemporary Group Exhibition – High House Production Park Barns on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June
(2) ‘Snapshots of Equality’ Beacon Hill Academy & P16 with FIPA Collaborative Installation – High House production Park Grounds on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June
(3) ‘We are all in Together Café’ Collaborative Installation – High House Production Park Stables from Saturday 1st June until Sunday 9th June
(4) Thurrock Art Society Group Exhibition – RSPB Rainham Marshes Nature Reserve from Saturday 1st until Saturday 8th June
(5) ‘Expressions of the Soul’ Group Exhibition – Thameside Complex Gallery from Saturday 1st June until Friday 14th June
(6) Vivienne Wright Solo Exhibition – The Framing Centre, Grays from Saturday 1st June until Sunday 9th June
(7) Thurrock Art Society Group Exhibition – St.Peter & St.Paul’s Grays Parish Church from Monday 3rd June until Friday 7th June
(8) Susan Burns Creative Jewellery Exhibition – Craft Candy, London Road, Grays from Saturday 1st June until Sunday 9th June
(9) Ron Contemporary Gallery Projects & Open Studio – Victoria Avenue, Grays from Saturday 1st June until Saturday 8th June
(10) Thurrock Society for Artists with Disabilities Group Exhibition – Grays Methodist Church from Thursday 13th June until Sunday 16th June
(11) ‘East End to Southend’ Dacha Group Exhibition – The Swan, Horndon on the Hill from Sunday 2nd June until Tuesday 2nd July
(12) Create 217 Group Exhibition – Southend Road, Stanford le Hope on Saturday 8th June
(13) Create No. 1 Group Exhibition – Hawthorne Road, Corringham on Saturday 8th June
(14) ‘Snapshots of Equality’ Beacon Hill Academy & P16 with FIPA Collaborative Installation – Beacon Hill Academy, South Ockendon from Monday 3rd June until Friday 7th June
This year also see’s Thurrock hosting the launch of the Essex wide, Essex Summer of Art, at High House Production Park on Friday. Thurrock Art Trail founders Lata Upadhyaya and Jonathan Curzon said ‘We are proud to be hosting the Launch of Essex Summer of Art, in only our second year as an art trail, showcasing the artistic talents of Thurrock to a wider audience. We cannot believe that this year we will have over 80 artists participating across 14 events’
