LOCAL manufacturing businesses are being offered a chance to quiz a panel of experts on ways of maximising the effectiveness and efficiency of what they do as well as finding support for their plans for innovation and growth.
Thurrock Council’s business team is hosting an Innovation and Growth Surgery for Manufacturers event at the Thurrock Centre for Business in George Street, Grays early next month.

The panel will consist of representatives from the Manufacturing Advisory Service – MAS offers advice, support and grants (www.mymas.org/resources/grants-funding; UK Trade and Investment – www.ukti.gov.uk/export/howwehelp.html; and Thurrock Council’s TIGER (Thames Gateway Innovation, Growth and Enterprise) scheme which can offer zero percent loans for business (www.tiger20million.co.uk).
They will be on hand to provide help and advice on increasing sales by exporting, improving operations and securing finance for investment as well as a wide range of subjects from increasing sales by exporting, through improving operations and access, to finance for investment.
The event will highlight what support and funding is available and offer some practical advice on driving businesses forward.
