Update: Investigation after massive fire at Bulphan biofuel warehouse

Update: 07:45hrs: Crews and two fire appliances remain at the incident checking for hotspots.

Update: 01 July 2013, 04:00hrs: Two fire appliances remain at the incident turning over and damping down and checking for any remaining hotspots.

Update: 22:03hrs: The fire has been extinguished.  Crews and seven fire appliances remain at the incident damping down.

Update:19:56hrs: Crews are making steady progress and an aerial ladder platform is being used to pour water onto the fire. Seven fire appliances remain at the scene of the incident.

Update: 14:06hrs: Crews are continuing to tackle the fire and report that the warehouse contains a wood pulp unit and LPG and argon cylinders.

The cause of the fire is unknown, ECFRS and the police will carry out an investigation.

FIRE fighters have been called to a large pile of rubbish alight which is effecting a warehouse containing biofuel products.

Update: 12:15hrs: Crews report that a single storey warehouse containing wood chips and cylinders is 100 percent alight, the property measures approximately 60 x 30 metres.

Firefighters are using two main jets to tackle the blaze.

The cause of the fire is unknown, ECFRS and the police will carry out an investigation.
