“Act now or else children could die”

“ACT now or else children could die” is the impassioned plea by a Labour councillor in Belhus.

Deputy mayor and Belhus councillor, Wendy Curtis, made the impassioned appeal after concerns over access to fire hydrants in the Buckles Lane area of the ward.

Over the past two years, there has been a number of fire at the site which hosts a large showman community and has done for over thirty years.

On each occasion, the fire service has complained that they cannot get access to water.

Cllr Curtis visited the showmans site to collect signatures to push for better hydrant facilities.

YT interviewed cllr Curtis.

  1. This should be a lesson to what happens when a Labour controlled council turns a blind eye to illegal development in the green belt until it becomes a site bigger than Dale Farm.
