THURROCK’S headteachers, principals, school business managers and bursars met with over 20 council service providers to discuss individual requirements to continue to develop and offer high quality, flexible support.
The Expo was hailed a resounding success, with many schools and academies signing up to a variety of council services, including bespoke and tailored packages.
Based on the extremely positive feedback received, it has been agreed that the Thurrock Council Traded Services for Schools and Academies Expo” will be an annual event.
The Expo was opened by Carmel Littleton, Thurrock Council’s Director of Children’s Services, who said: “I was delighted to see such a strong turn-out for this worthwhile event.
The council is committed to supporting schools and academies in all aspects of their planning and resourcing in order to be able to continue to develop an excellent education service to the children of Thurrock”.
