ESSEX SPORTS VILLAGE has gone into administration.
The sports village is based at what is commonly known as the Old Firemans Club on Purfleet Road, Aveley.
A statement by the chairman, Luke Woodward on the Companies House website has informed all interested parties “that the company was wound-up voluntarily” at a meeting in Southend on October 2nd.
Companies House has also issued a statement of affairs that reveals that the company has debts at just under £250,000.
Among the creditors are HM Revenue and Customs who are owed £109,000 and Westview Rail Limited who are owed £140,000.
A further check on companies house has revealed that a company called Essex Sports Village UK Limited was formed on Dec 1st 2012.
On May 17th, a Luke William Andrew Norman Woodward was appointed a director. Soon after, a Karen Clarke announced on the Essex Sports Village Facebook page that the sports village was under new management and taking bookings.
How will this effect the build that has just passed the planning stage ??
Sadly Lambo – Building will take place. Like most clubs today a sudden injection of Capital is not the god send it appears.
