Chadwell St Mary community hub survey

NGAGE, the community organisation and Volunteer Centre for Thurrock are encouraging people who live or work in Chadwell St Mary to take part in a survey about providing a new Community Hub or centre for the area. The Centre will provide a new way for public services and local communities to work side by side to create a new type of service delivery that puts local people in the driving seat. This will enable local people to access support and do more for themselves without relying on statutory provision.
ngage would like to encourage people to take part to ensure that they have their say on the activities they would like to see within the centre and to suggest a name.

Annette Lewis, Community worker for ngage said “With the help of local volunteers, we are visiting Chadwell St Mary on a weekly basis to speak to as many people as we can. We are keen to find out the type of information or advice that people find hard to get locally, and any skills or knowledge they could share with other members of the community.

People can take part either online or by picking up a survey and putting it in one of the drop boxes located at the Chadwell Library, Health Centre, Dips Chemist at Defoe Parade, and the Peath shop on Heath Road.

Anybody who completes and returns the survey by Friday 8th November will be entered in a draw with the chance to win £50 worth of shopping vouchers. To take part in the online survey go to: www.thurrockcvs.org.uk. Contact ngage on 01375 389893 for more information.
