A CONTINENTAL Market will be visiting Grays on Thursday (19, Friday (20) and Saturday (21) December.
Mainly concentrating on food products the produce will come from France, Scandinavia, Spain, Italy and Germany.
On Sunday 22nd and Monday 23 December the theme will continue with a smaller Continental market that concentrates on Italian food.
This does not mean the regular Friday and Saturday markets will disappear as they will be held as usual on Friday (20) and Saturday (21) with extra Christmas market days also on the Sunday (22)nd and Tuesday (24) December along with the annual Monday market on 23 December
Thurrock Council Leader, Cllr John Kent, said: “I would like to congratulate our market managers Hughmark and the council’s business support team who have worked hard to achieve this.
“We will have a Continental market in town for the best part of a week and alongside our usual popular market. This should bring more people into town on those days boosting trade for all of Grays’ stores.
“There’s no doubt I’ll be looking for some tasty bargains to take home and I’d suggest everyone who can to come and see what’s on offer.
“Remember, all council-owned car parks and roadside parking spaces will be free of charge on each Saturday throughout December.”
