EAST TILBURY resident Dolly Turner has once again raised thousands with her Christmas puddings.
Every November for nearly ten years, Dolly has rolled up her sleeves and created the puds from the heart of her kitchen.
Using a secret recipe, Dolly then ships the puds out far and wide.
This year, Dolly received an order from Austria!
This year, Dolly raised over £1300.
Dolly passed the money onto Paul Harris from the Essex Masons who will in turn distribute the cash to a number of worth causes.
Paul said: “Dolly and her late husband Alan have always been great supporters of the causes that are close to the heart of the Essex Masons.
“We are so grateful to the work Dolly does. She is one-in-a-million!”
We once asked the irrepressible Dolly what the secret recipe was and were told: “Listen boy, if I told you it wouldn’t be a secret!”.
