Ngage host very successful volunteer fayre

NGAGEvol2 Volunteer Centre Thurrock held a “New Year, New You” Recruitment Fayre on Tuesday 21st January at The Beehive for current and new volunteers.

Laura Hudson, Volunteer coordinator for ngage said “We were overwhelmed with the fantastic response and it was encouraging to see so many people come along to find out more about volunteering”.

Eighteen organisations were there to promote their volunteering opportunities including representatives from Thurrock Council, Grays First Responders and Inspiration Youth Call and found the morning useful and enjoyable.

A representative from ECPD said “The event was perfect and we are looking forward to the next one in May”

A spokesperson for Thurrock Libraries said: “The turnout was fantastic and these events are the best ones that we go too”.

Ngage also welcomed a very special representative from The Guide Dogs for the Blind Association in the form of the beautifully behaved puppy Holly.

Over the course of the Fayre, there were over 100 current and prospective volunteers, and ngage are currently in the process of referring 78 volunteers to different opportunities with organisations present on the day including Family Mosaic, Essex Wildlife Trust and Age UK.

With this month’s event being such a success, ngage are looking forward to welcoming even more volunteers and organisations to our next Recruitment Fayre at the end of May.
