ON Thursday, 22 May, there will be elections across Thurrock this year, in all but four wards local council seats will be contested as well as the European Union ballot.
Voters in Chafford and North Stifford, Corringham and Fobbing, East Tilbury, and Stanford-le-Hope West will only be able to vote in the European election.
Thurrock Council’s electoral services team is hosting a notification of candidates and agents briefing for the local election on Tuesday, 4 March at 4pm in Committee Room 4 of the Civic Offices in Grays.

Packs will be issued which will include nomination papers and timetables, how to obtain Electoral Registers and absent vote lists, and an outline of the procedures for postal vote issue and opening, and the count itself.
Those who receive an invitation, or who would like to attend, should contact electoral services by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 01375 652816.
