UKIP’s Tim not impressed with budget

UKIP candidate for Thurrock, Tim Aker was less than impressed with the budget presented by the chancellor of the exchequer, George Osborne this week.

Mr Aker, who is also director of policy for UKIP said: “This Coalition was set up to deal with the deficit. It hasn’t.

“With a national debt soaring to £1.4trillion by the end up the parliament and a budget deficit still hanging over us, George Osborne has failed to deliver.

“Energy prices are still sky high and wages haven’t kept pace with the rising cost of living. Although we welcome the move on ISAs, there is still so much more that could have been done and much more that can be undone if our national finances aren’t brought under control.

“We should immediately cut foreign aid and end our EU payments, both of which add up to over £30bn a year. We simply cannot afford these commitments anymore. This money should be put to the benefit of the UK first.”
