IT IS a very good question. And this was the question that Homesteads councillor James Halden asked at the final Thurrock Council meeting on Wednesday.
There were many many warm tributes to the retiring cllr Mike Revell and we will show them in due course. However, there was one speech that left the whole chamber with tears running down their cheeks.
Cllr Halden was referring to cllr Revell’s bid to be an MP in 1992. He stool in the Labour stronghold of Blyth Valley. He came third polling 7.691 votes.
