Drop in session for prospective adopters

PEOPLE thinking about adoption can get essential information by calling in to the Culver Centre in Daiglen Drive, South Ockendon next Saturday (26 April).

Thurrock Council’s adoption team is hosting a drop-in session at the centre and people are invited to come along between 10am and 1pm.

The council is on the lookout for more people to become adoptive parents – including for sibling groups, older children and those with additional needs.

Social work staff from the adoption team will be at the Culver Centre and will be able to help potential adopters find out more about what is involved including how to start, the process and the training and support available.

They will also be able to answer any questions people may have.

If you cannot attend the event, but would like more information go to Thurrock.gov.uk/adoption or call 0800 652 1256.
