FIRE crews were called out twice to the Tilbury area at the weekend to deal with fires to buildings.
Firefighters were called to tackle a blaze involving the external cladding on a scout hut on St Chads Road, Tilbury.
Crews used one hose reel to tackle the fire, which was out by 21:27 hrs. A fire investigation will be carried out to establish the cause.
They were also called out to a pavilion on fire at 11am on Sunday June 22nd in St Chads Road, Tilbury.
A fire in the changing rooms of a pavillion building at St George’s Playing Fields is believed to have been set deliberately. This is the second deliberate fire in two days, with vandals setting light to a scout hut yesterday.
Firefighters used one hose reel to tackle the fire. The incident was dealt with by 11:57 hrs.
