A THURROCK school has gone over to Barking and Dagenham. It was only a few months ago, that Conservative councillors were walking the streets of Stifford Clays, during the local and european election campaign, warning residents that the council were forging closer links with the London borough.
Now it has been reported that the pupils of Stifford Clays primary have gone over to the London borough of Barking and Dagenham.

I think this article was tongue in cheek to mock the doom mongers in the Conservative Party who have been warning for nearly a decade that Thurrock is going to become a London suburb. We have had ludicrous leaflets claiming Oyster card readers and congestion charge signs on the A13 are signs of a London takeover!
