YOU may recall the story from April 2013 when over 3,000 bales of rubbish were found dumped in a field close to Circus Tavern in Purfleet.
Over the last fifteen months, a number of residents have contacted us to ask why they were still here. We did ask the Environment Agency (EA) in Oct, 2013 and simply told us that “Enquiries are continuing.”
As a member of the EA was in the Mardyke Valley today, we contacted him on twitter and asked for an update.
A spokesperson said: “The land is in the hands of receivers who are getting quotes for removal of the waste which we will oversee.”
